Speaking and administering the oath during the online event, Ma'am Liza O. del Norte, Student Affairs Officer, emphasized the importance of student leadership and working together with the student leaders for the betterment of the student community amid the ongoing pandemic and online classes.
Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Erwin Rommel Hontiveros, graced the event for both the IMD and NMD councils with an inspirational closing message focusing on the mission of the new student leaders to uphold integrity, competence and transparency while discharging their mandate in serving the students.

During the Buklod Medisina oath taking ceremony, College of Medicine faculty member and Buklod moderator Dr. Mikhail Ness Buhay also gave an motivational talk to the new council officers.

Chief Operations Officer Mr. Oliver G. Victoriano, DBA, and Deans of the College of Nursing and Midwifery, Ma'am Armi Aspiras-Go and Mr. Roland B. Pagtolon-an, respectively, were also present during the oath taking ceremonies of their departments. They also emphasized the importance of an efficient student leadership especially during these difficult times on their messages to the students.
The oath taking ceremony gives the newly-elected leaders the legitimacy and mandate to serve in their various capacities. Student leaders from the Dentistry and Biology department will have their oath taking ceremony on Saturday.
